Inspiring, with No Challenges or Limitations, the Universality of Dance Experiences

INCLUDE is adaptive dance instruction for children with special needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and related disabilities. Students dance with Mid-Columbia Ballet company dancers every class!

Sensory Friendly Performance of The Adventures of Madeline

Mid-Columbia Ballet will turn on the lights, lower the music, and invite individuals with disabilities/special needs and their family to a sensory-friendly performance of the classic children's series: Madeline. This relaxed approximately 60-minute performance has been specially created to serve individuals who have special and sensory needs and their families. This performance has no cost for families, but we request that each family register using the form at the link below.

What makes this performance friendly to the senses? In addition to the adjusted volumes of light and sound, your family can experience the show in their own way, without the need to worry about members of your group needing to move around or making sounds during the presentation. Our sensory-friendly performances are "shush-free zones" where families never have to feel self-conscious or worried about disrupting others. This welcoming and accepting setting will also include a space for a break in the lobby.
