About Mid-Columbia Ballet

The Mid-Columbia Ballet (MCB) was incorporated in 1973 with the mission to foster and advance the art of ballet in its various forms. Although best known for their annual traditional holiday performances of The Nutcracker, the Company’s repertoire includes classical, neoclassical, and modern works by choreographers from throughout the U.S. In addition to its regular public performances, MCB annually reaches about 6,000 youth from our community through special performances and in-school lectures and demonstrations. MCB receives national recognition as a member of The Ballet Alliance, where each year the Company performs at the annual Festival. Many MCB dancers have received scholarships for further study and have gone on to professional dance careers, most notably, former Pacific Northwest Ballet principal, Patricia Barker.

MCB Dancers bring home Awards from Festival 2025

MCB dancers attended The Ballet Alliance (TBA) Festival in April. Each year TBA presents awards for choreography and scholarships to summer intensive dance programs to deserving dancers. MCB has a history of bringing home recognition and accolades that distinguish us as one of the top ballet companies in the region.

Who We Are

Led by Artistic Director, Debra Pearse Rogo, the Mid-Columbia Ballet consists of a Senior Company and Junior Company made up of young dancers committed to the art of ballet. The Board of Directors is comprised of members of the community who have an interest in supporting the art of dance in the Tri-Cities. The MCB Guild provides financial and volunteer support to the Mid-Columbia Ballet.
